HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2009-176 N.C.S. 10/19/2009Resolution No. 2009-176 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF FY 2009-2010 SUPPLEMENTAL LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICE FUNDS (SLESF) FOR THE COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH/RECORDS MANAGEMENT .SYSTEM (CAD/RMS) WHEREAS, the State of California has extended legislation providing for Supplemental Law Enforcement Service Funds (SLESF) for the Citizen's Option for Public Safety (COPS) Program, and, WHEREAS, the funds are to be used to supplement front line municipal police services, and, WHEREAS, the Police Chief is required to make a recommendation for the allocation of the funds, and, WHEREAS, the City Council is required to hold a public hearing on the use of the funds each year. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the allocation of FY 2009-2010 Supplemental Law Enforcement Service Funds, in the estimated amount of $100,000 per the Police Chief's recommendation, for expenditures related to the CAD/RMS project. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
