REJECTING THE ONE BID RECEIVED
TO DREDGE THE PETALiJMA MARINA
WHEREAS, the Petaluma Marina is in need of maintenance dredging and the project
was put out to bid; and,
WHEREAS, one bid was received from Dutra Dredging Company of San. Rafael, Ca.,
for an amount of $1,198,882.00; and,
WHEREAS, the one bid received is considerably over the engineer's estimate and staff
has been informed that re-bidding the project over the winter months will allow additional firms
to bid the project and schedule the required work, taking into account restrictive environmental
windows.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Petaluma City Council rejects the
one bid received to dredge the Petaluma Marina, and instructs staff to re-bid the project over the
winter months.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
REFERENCE: I hereby certify the foregoing Resolution was introduced and adopted by the Approved as to
