RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
WITH THE REDWOOD EMPIRE MUNICIPAL INSURANCE FUND (REMIF)
FOR THE WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIMS ADMINISTRATION SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma has determined that the continuation of aself-insured
workers' compensation program is cost effective; and,
WHEREAS, the City's staff and its selection committee had advised that an outside firm
be retained to administer the City's workers compensation program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Petaluma
approves the execution of an agreement between the City and the Redwood Empire Municipal
Insurance Fund (REMIF) and the Mayor or the City Manager is authorized to execute such an
agreement. The Council hereby approves the professional services agreement attached hereto
subject, however, to the authority, hereto given, of the City Manager to revise such terms to
clarify the obligation of the parties of the agreement.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
