COUNCIL COMMENTS Mayor Hilligoss asked .for Council volunteers to participate in a County-wide drug enforcement committee. Michael Davis was appointed to the committee. Assistant Manager Beatty was asked to _ _ _ do research and make a recommendation on the size of business that would be exempt. Bernard, .City- Clerk. ~ _ MUIRWOOD GOLF COURSE AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT William: ~ Sherman.,:. golf course.~~ aonsulfant, addressed the Cou•nciL. : _ He assured .the:• Council that.. unrestricted 3 public- play at :the proposed golf ,course was essential for itssuccess .~ . City Manager John Scharer noted the .new provision in the " proposed•:- agreement relating to Duffel .~ construction. of the proposed 15;•000 square 'foot clubhouse within five years, "the land will be. dedicated ~ ~ to the City of Petaluma to. construct the clubhouse. The Council expressed.: their concerns that the golf course lands be kept in open space in perpetuity . The Council reviewed the various sections of the proposed agreement, approved the following specifics •of: the .agreement: - 4 years from ~ date of _ agreement for golf ~ cour,se completion, language regard-in'g.!public play, clubhouse •language and .staff .was authorized : tq put. the •document in final form and present it to the Council on November 30 for introduction of the ordinance. MARIN/SONOMA MOSQULTO ABATEMENT: DIS.TRICT~ The Council directed staff to solicit applications for the Mosquito District Board.
