RESO. 86-213 NCS
DOCK CONSTRUCTION
Reso. 86-213 NCS authorizing contract with Western Dock for construction
of 44 lineal feet of concrete docks to complete the docking facilities in the
turning basin on the Steamer Gold side ($5, 579.20 or $15.85 per square
foot) . Introduced by Lynn Woolsey, seconded by Jack Cavanagh.

JOHNSON-GUTHRIE RIVER WALK
The design firm of Johnson and. Guthrie had segregated. the project into
five parts
Bid Item 1 -The pedestrian crosswalk between existing curb lines of
Keller Street -Est. cost $6,150.00;
_ Bid Item 2 -The area at the north side of the garage between east
curb ofKeller- Street to~ the West side of Telephone Alley;
Bid Item 3 -The area including Telephone Alley extending to the
west curb line of Kentucky Street (not including the canopy) - Est.
cost $65,850.00;
Bid Item 4 - The cano structure between Telephone Alley and
Kentucky Street including interior lighting -Est. cost $85, 760.00;
Bid Item 5 -The crosswalk at Kentucky Street from the west curbline
to the face of the buildings at the east side of the street -Est. cost
$31,000.00.
Total estimated cost for the stretch from Keller to Kentucky Streets -
$25'0, 260.00
There was discussion about including "Putnam Park" and the walkway
across Petaluma Blvd. to the easterly curb.

The Council discussed the possibility of a loan from one of .the other city
funds; expressed its intent that the project should becompleted by this`
time next year with the exception of the canopy; the Park Development
fees be borrowed for a portion of the park construction of Putnam Park.
City Manager 'Scharer advised the Council they will have to go back to the:
Assessment District to obtain permission for expenditure of any excess
funds. It was noted there will be no additional "'tax'" on the merchants for
this project.. ~ .`~..
Reso. 86-2.14. NCS approving. plans and specifications and authorizing th'e
call for bids on the walkway improvements from the westerly curb of Keller
Street to the face of the buildings on the easterly side ' of K'en;tuck'y;
authorizing completion of drawings for the remainder' of the walkway to the
easterly curb of Petaluma Blvd. including Putnam Park; and directing staff
to develop a financing program for the remainder of the project.
