Boys and Girls Club building oii: the valley side of town and requested dialogue with the City Council in connection with site selection. Refuse .company provides `for that company to ,handle ~:a1F .the debris box business; however, there. is an exception: ~;` ;Under provisions of ,the Municipal Code,, where there is , a construction or a demolition project .ongoing _or if a contract provides for r.einov,al of debris, that kind. of removal is r not subject to bidding and:~r is noty subject to the City's exclusive contract .pr.ovisions . ~ . . ~ ,•, . Eric Koenigshofer, Industrial Carting of Santa Rosa, and~;his':~attorney Joe Tinney requested 'the City_ issue a, business license to Industrial Carting for debris box business in the City of Petaluma::,. Fire Chief Les Lenz' recommendation to phase out the fire alarm call boxes due to the fact that the Emergency Telephone Number 9-1-1 is now being used by the residents and the call boxes are not. The cost for the leased telephone lines to keep the 39 call boxes in service is $1, 170.00 per month.
