The City Council agreed the reconstructed. and that the developer be allowed a credit against his Community Development fees in an amount equal to the fence cost. It was moved by Larry Tencer and seconded by Vice Mayor Balshaw, to approve purchase ~of a compatible computer (approximately under $5,000) and a plotter (approximately $6000) with monies to come from the Contingency Fund. AYES: Davis, Woolsey, Tencer, Vice Mayor Balshaw NOES: Mayor Mattei ABSENT: Bond, Cavanagh LANDSCAPE ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS .. ~-.T~he City Council considered the potential use of landscape maintenance .~ ~ assessment districts for maintenance of landscaping and masonry walls in public right-of-way areas required in new subdivisions. It was Council consensus to authorize developers and staff to proceed with formation of such districts when appropriate. DOW_ NTOWN PARKING SPACES Assistant City Manager Beatty noted that there is a net gain of 75 on-street parking spaces as a result of the diagonal parking that was ~, ~ ,.~,•..created on Kentucky and Keokuk Streets. In addition, there are 30 ,. _'- additional spaces as a result of the .increased capacity of the A Street lot and 30 from the use of the lot on _ Keokuk adjacent to the Petaluma City Cafe .
