The City Engineer reviewed the traffic controls that are in effect at school,; crossings. Police Chief Murphy requested that the City Council authorize. the application for a grant from the National Highway Transportation Funds".. for increased traffic patrol in the City. Don McPherson presented a petition with 574 signatures requesting the City increase its traffic enforcement capability. Robert Merra and Ernest Valdez both spoke about. the need to increase traffic law enforcement.
