Pledge of Allegiance Vice Mayor Bond led the Pledge of Allegiance. Consent Calendar The following .items from -the Consent Calendar were approved by the adoption of a single motion introduced by Vice Mayor Bond and seconded by Councilman Balshaw. The public hearing was opened. Acting Planning Director Warren Salmons reviewed the application. There being no person wishing to speak, the public hearing was closed. RESO. 84-256 NCS PETALUMA ECUMENICAL PROJECTS Reso. 84-25b NCS authorizes entering into a loan agreement with the Petaluma Ecumenical Projects group for purchase of property located on Edith Street near East Washington for senior housing. Dick Lieb spoke on behalf of the PEP group. He advised the $15,000 loan would cover ;~ $10,000 down payment, commission and. closing costs as well as patching ;. of the roof . It is the ,intention that PEP will ultimately construct a six ~:~r: unit senior complex. on this property. The resolution was introduced by Councilman Battaglia and seconded by Councilman Cavanagh. The committee has met with Walter Kieckhefer, owner of the Golden Eagle ,Shopping Center which surrounds the turning basin . _ He :.is reported to be amenable to development of ~ pedestrian access to 'the turning.. basin .if. it. does not have a negative impact on the parking;: that is currently available for patrons of business ,in. that shopping. center..
