HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2004-209 N.C.S. 11/15/2004 resolution No.2004-209 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California SETTING GUIDELINES -FOR ATTENDANCE FOR MEMBERS OF THE ANIMAL SERVICES ADVISORY COMMITTEE WHEREAS, the City Council created an Animal Services Advisory Committee on June 22, 1998 by approving Resolution 98-126 N.C.S.; and, WHEREAS, the Animal Services Advisory Committee desires to set standards for attendance by those members appointed to the Committee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council requests that guidelines regarding vacancies on the Animal Services Advisory Committee conform with other boards, committees and commissions in the City, which shall be the following: VACANCIES: Upon the death, resignation, disability that results in the inability of a member to perform the duties of a. member of the Animal Services Advisory Committee, the loss of permanent residency from the City, or status of special designation declared upon appointment, or upon failure to attend .any meetings of the committee for three consecutive regular meetings, the Council shall review, and if found to be appropriate, declare the office of such member vacant and thereupon appoint some qualified person to fill such vacancy for the unexpired term of such member. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
