HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions 89-286 N.C.S. 09/05/1989Resolution No. 89-286 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California 1 ORDERING TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS 2 ANNEXATION NO. 89-1 (WESTRIDGE UNITS 4 & 5) 3 ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF PETALUMA 4 Whereas, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of 5 Sonoma, State of California, adopted its Resolutions No. 2005a, 2005b, and 2005c 6 on July 20, 1989, making determinations and approving the proposed annexation to 7 the City of Petaluma of territory described in Exhibit A attached hereto and by this s reference incorporated herein; and, 9 Whereas, the reason for this annexation are for orderly growth in compliance 10 with the City's adopted General Plan; and, 11 Whereas, a public hearing on this annexation was called for and held by this 12 Council on September 5, 1989, and this Council finds and determines that the value 13 of written protests filed and not withdrawn is less that 25 percent of the registered 14 voters residing within the territory proposed to be annexed and less than 25% of the 15 number of owners of land owning less than 25 percent of the assessed value of land 16 within the territory. 17 Now, therefore, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of Petaluma 18 hereby orders the territory described in Exhibit A annexed, and directs the City 19 Clerk to transmit a certified copy of this resolution with applicable fees as required 20 by Section 54902.5 of the Government Code to the Executive Officer of the Local 21 Agency Formation Commission of Sonoma County. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
