C . S . ; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish annual goals and timetables therefore, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this council hereby adopts the goals for the fiscal year 1989-90 contained in Exhibit "A" , attached hereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth . Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. SECTION IV ANALYSIS OF FY 89-89 GOALS G 0 A L : Place. one Spanish `surname emp]oyee into the position of Police Officer. RESULT: Not accomplished. ANALYSIS: Six- officers were hired - alI were white males. GOAL: Place one female in the position of Maintenance Worker. RESULT : Accomplished. ANALYSIS.: Six individuals were hired to fill. vacancies, one was. a white female, one was a Spanish surname and four were white male . GOAL: Place one female in the position of Park Maintenance Worker. RESULT:. Not accomplished. ANALYSIS: Two positions were filled. One was a white male and one was a Spanish surname. OTHER : In addition to these goals, the City gained minority representation in other areas. Thee F-ire Department hired a Spanish surname as a Firefighter/Paramedic; the Building Maintenance hired two 'S'panish surname as Custodians. A female was; hired in the managerial classification of Controller. Additionally, a female was reclassified from a professional level position to .Recreation Supervisor, a management position. GOALS, OF FY 89-94 The following goals should be established for Fiscal Year 89-90. GOAL : Place one female in the position of Police Officer. `Place one additional Spanish surname in the position of Po]ice Officer .
