HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions 88-250 N.C.S. 07/18/1988'~ -~- Resolution No. s8-250 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF A REGULAR MUNICIPAL AND SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 1988 WHEREAS, under the provisions of the laws relating to Elections in the State of California and the Gharter of the City of Petaluma, a Regular Municipal and School Board Election shall be held on November 8, 1988, for the election of Municipal Officers NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: 1. Pursuant to the requirements of the Charter of the City of Petaluma and the laws of the State of California relating to Elections there is called and ordered held in the City of Petaluma, California, on Tuesday, November 8, 1988, a Regular Municipal Election of the qualified electors of the City for the purpose of electing a three (3) members of the City Council for four (4) year terms; and, Measure attached as Exhibit "A" 2. Pursuant to the requirements of the Charter of the City of Petaluma and the laws of the State of California relating to Elections and School Boards there is called and ordered held in the Petaluma School. District, Petaluma, California., on Tuesday November 8, 1988, a Regular Election of the qualified ,electors of the Petaluma School District for the purpose of electing two (2.) members of the Petaluma School Board for four (4) year terms; and, 3. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to make arrangements for the procurement of ballots, notices, printed matter and all supplies, equipment and paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to properly and lawfully conduct the election . 4. The Polls for the election shall be open from seven o'clock a.m. (7:00 a.m.) to eight o'clock (8:00 p.m.) that day; and, 5. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to give such additional notice of the election in the manner required by State Law. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
