A RESOLUTION DESCRIBING TMPROVEMENTS AND DIRECTING
PREPARATION ^F ENGINEER'S REPORT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1.988-89
ANNUAL ASSESSMENT FOR
CASA DEL ORO ANNEXATION NO. 1
JOSETTE COURT LANDSCAPE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the landscaping and
Lighting Act of 1972, Part 2, Division 15 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California, the City Council conducted
proceedings -For the formation of the Casa Del Oro Annexation No. 1,
Josette Court Landscape Assessment District and for the annual levy
and collection of assessments, and, adopted Resolution No. 86-317
N_C.S. Ordering the Formation of a Landscaping Assessment District
and Authorizing Levy and Collection of Assessments Pursuant to
Landscaping aryd Lighting Act of 1972, Casa Del Oro Annexation No. 1,
Josette Court Landscape Assessment District:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Counci), of the City of
Petaluma, County of Sonoma as follows:
1. The publir_ interest, convenience and necessity require, and
it is i;he intention of said Council to undertake proceedings for the
levy ar~d collection of assessments upon the several parcels of land in
saki district, for the construction ar installet.ion of improvements,
including the maintenance or servicing, ar both, thereof for the
fiscal year 1988 -- 89;
2. The improvements to be constructed or installed, including
the maintenance or servicing, or both, thereof, are more particularly
described as (allows:
The maintenance of all the public landscaping improvements
as a part of Parcel Map 220, consisting of plant materials,
trees, ground cover, and irrigation systems located i.n the
publics areas shown as Josette Court as shown on the
Assessment Diagram for- L"asa Del Oro Annexation No. 1,
Josette Court Landscape Assessment District"_
3. The costs and expenses of said improvements, including the
maintenance or servicing, or both, thereof, are to be made chargeable
upon said district, the exterior boundaries of which district are the
composite and consolidated area as more particularly shown on a map
thereof on file in the offir_e of the City Clerk of the City of
Petaluma, to which reference is hereby made for further particulars.
Said map indicates by a boundary line the extent of the territory
included in said district and of any zone thereof and shall govern for
al;l details as to the extent of the assessment district,

4. 'rhe City Engineer of Petaluma shall be the Engineer of Work,
and, is hereby directed to prepare and file with the City Clerk a
report specifying the fiscal year to which the report applies, and,
with respect to that year, presenting the followings
a) plans and specifications of the exi-sting improvements
and for proposed new improvements, if any, to be made
within the assessment district or within any zone
thereof ;
b) an estimate of the casts of said proposed new improvements,
if any, to be made, fhe costs of maintenance or servicing,
or both, thereof, and of any existing improvements,
togethier with the incidental expenses in connection
therewith;
c) a diagram showing the exterior boundaries of the
assessment district and the lines and dimensions of each
lot or parcel of land within the district as such lot rar
parcel of land is shown on the County Assessor's map -For
the fiscal year to which the report applies, each of
which lots or parr_els of land shall be identified by a
distinctive number or letter on said diagram; and
d) a proposed assessment of the total amount of the
estimated costs and expenses of the proposed new
improvements, including the maintenance or servicing,
ar both, thereo~F, and of any existing improvements upon
the several parcels of land in said district in
proportion to the estimated benefits to be received
by such parcels of land from said improvements,
including the maintenance or servicing, or both,
thereof, and of the expenses incidental thereto.
5. The Director of Parks and Recreation of Petaluma is hereby
designated as 'the person to answer inquiries regarding any protest
pror_eedings to be had herein, and may be corrtacted during regular
office hour's at the Gity Ha11, P.O. Box 61, 11 English Street,
Petaluma, California 94953, or by calling (707> 778-4380.
