of the City of Petaluma, California
A RESOLUTION DECLARING LIBERTY STREET AND
BOND SUBDIVISIONS TO BE SURPLUS CITY LAND AND
AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSITION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma is the owner of certain lands which are
identified as Parcels A and B and are described in Exhibit A, which is
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, Parcel A has been subdivided into three lots, which subdivision
is known as the Liberty Street Subdivision, and
WHEREAS, Parcel B has been subdivided into seventeen lots, which
subdivision is known as the Bond Subdivision, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to dispose of said lands by sale to the open
market at fair market value for the purposes of single family detached
housing development,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. Parcels A and B as described in Exhibit A hereto are hereby declared
to be surplus lands of the City of Petaluma.
2. City staff is hereby authorized to send a written offer to sell said
lands for the purpose of developing low and moderate income housing
to local agencies, including housing authorities and non-profit
corporations, within whose jurisdiction the surplus lands are located,
all in accordance with the procedures of Government Code Sections
54220, et. seq.
3. If no agency provides the City with notice of its intent to purchase
the land all as prescribed in Government Code Section 54222., then the
City Manager is authorized to sell said land in any manner deemed by
the Manager to be in the best interest of the City and for the common
benefit.

EXHIBIT A
PARCEL A
Bounded on the North by the Southern line of Lot 571 of said City of
Petaluma; on the East by the Easterly line of Liberty Street if extended
through Lot 572; on the South by the Northerly line o,f West Street; and on
the West by the Westerly line of Liberty Street if extended; save and
except fifteen (25) feet from the Northerl-y end deeded to the City of
Petaluma by Geo. P. McNear and Ida B. McNear, his wife, on November 26,
1909 in Book 259 of Deeds, page 366. Said fifteen (15) feet being an
increase in the width of Cherry Street.. hereby intended to convey a strip
of land fronting 70 feet on West Street extending through a uniform width
of about 450 feet to Cherry Street. (Liberty Street Subdivision)
