HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions 88-114 N.C.S. 04/04/1988T ~ Resolution No. 88-114 N ~.s. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION APPROVING ISSUANCE OF A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION PURSUANT TO CEQA FOR THE CREATION OF ANNA'S MEADOWS SUBDIVISION LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF MCDOWELL BLVD. .SOUTH AND CASA GRANDE ROAD, AP.O. NOS. 17-04-006, 023. WHEREAS, the Planning commission has recommended issuance of a Mitigated Negative Declaration pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for a proposal to create 76-lot residential subdivision at the intersection of Casa Grande Road and McDowell Blvd. South; and, WHEREAS, an initial study which noted potential noise, traffic and drainage impacts has been prepared for the area and has been reviewed by the Community Development and. Planning Department; and, WHEREAS, the results of this study has indicated that approval of this project as conditionally approved. will not trigger any significant adverse environmental impacts; and, WHEREAS, staff and the Planning Commission have recommended that a mitigated negative declaration be issued on the above project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the issuance of said Mitigated Negative Declaration pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act is hereby approved, based upon the following findings: 1. The project as conditionally approved does not have the potential to degrade the quality of the environment, to substantially reduce the habitat of fish or wildlife species, cause a fish or wildlife population to drop below self-sustaining levels, threaten to eliminate a plan or animal community, reduce the number or restrict the range of a rare or endangered plan or animal, or eliminate important examples of major periods of California history or pre-history. 2. The project as conditionally approved does not jeopardize long term environmental goals. 3. The project as conditionally approved does not have environmental effects which will cause substantial adverse effects on human beings either directly or indirectly. 88-114 Res. No . .............................. N.C.S. 4. The effects of traffic generated by the project will be mitigated by project design and conditions of approval. 5. Homes within the project located abutting major streets will be protected from noise by project design and conditions of approval. reso.neg.dec.anna's meadows.
