of the City of Petaluma, California
APPROVING THE 2013-2014 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT ACTION PLAN AS AMENDED BY THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD)
WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma is an entitlement community under the jurisdiction of
the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block
Grant Program; and,
WHEREAS, HUD provides each entitlement jurisdiction with an annual allocation of
federal funds to be utilized for the benefit of low and moderate income recipients; and,
WHEREAS, due to the President's sequestration order, HUD's initial 2013-14 allocation
of $266,092 was an estimate and later finalized in the amount of $322,092; and,
WHEREAS, the City's original resolution (2013-032 N.C.S.) accommodatedsuch a
modification: "should there be changes in the 2013-2014 entitlement amount, the City Manager
is authorized to increase/decrease each subrecipient's allocation proportionately."
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED by the Petaluma City Council that the
Amended Action Plan attached Exhibit A is approved and adopted for PY 2013-2014.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to
sign any additional program documents required by the Department of Housing and Urban
Development.
Under the power and authority conerred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
REFERENCE: I hereby certify the foregoing Resolution was introduced and adopted by the
Council of the City of Petaluma at a Regular meeting on the 15" day of July, 2013.
