City Council take the following~action: Adopt resolution recommending, appointments to the Mayors' &Councilmembers' Association and giving the Mayor authority to vote on late nominations received. at the Association's February 11, 2010 meeting. 1. ^ First reading of Ordinance approved unanimously, or with unanimous vote to allow posting prior to second reading 2. ^ First reading of Ordinance approved without'unanimous vote: Ordinance has been published/posted prior to second reading; see Attachment 3. ^ Other action requiring special notice: Notice has been given, see Attachment Summary Statement: The Mayors' & Councilmembers' Association, which includes all the Sonoma County cities, fills vacancies on various local or regional. Boards or Commissions when the terms of office expire. Letters of interest are .circulated to all cities by those elected- officials wishing to serve, followed by the cities voting on their recommendations at an upcoming- Board meeting of the Association. The following appointments will be voted on at the February 11, 2010 meeting of the Association: Sonoma Co. Child Care Planning Council Committee -one position - to fill the vacancy created by Marsha Vas Dupre (Santa Rosa). Three year term, March 2010 through March 2013. Executive Board of North :Bay Division of the League of California Cities -two positions - to fill the vacancies created. by Jarie Bender (Santa Rosa) and Kathleen Shaffer, Alternate (Sebastopol). City Council Member Sebastopol, CA 1/ISL201A ~ ~ ~ CITY C)F SEBASTOPOL cin it~aAC~~!ci~r~ CLFRK V RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPOINTMENTS TO THE MAYORS' & COUNCILMEMBERS' ASSOCIATION TO FILL THE VACANCIES ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR THE SONOMA COUNTY CHILD CARE PLANNING COUNCIL COMMITTEE AND THE EXECUTIVE BOARD OF THE NORTH BAY DIVISION OF LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES WHEREAS; vacancies have occurred on the Sonoma County Child Care Planning Council Committee and the Executive Board of the North Bay Division of the League of California Cities; and WHEREAS, the appointments will be considered by the -Board of Directors of the Mayor's &Councilmembers' Association on February 11, 2010; and WHEREAS, letters of interest have been received and considered by the Petaluma City Council. .NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Petaluma City Council does hereby recommend to the Mayors' &Councilmembers' Association the following, for appointment to the Sonoma County Child Care Planning Council Committee: ,and (representative) and (alternate) to the Executive Board of the North Bay Division. of the League of California Cities; and BE IT FURTI~ER RESOLVED that the Petaluma City Council authorizes Mayor Torliatt to vote on late riomiriations received at the Mayors' &Councilmembers' meeting on February 11, 201.0.
