RESOLUTION FINDING .AND DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC
CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
IMPROVEMENTS
LAKEVILLE HIGHWAY ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 15
The City Council of the City of Petaluma resolves:
A public hearing for which notice has been given by
publication, posting and mailing, has been held as to the public
convenience and necessity of the improvements in Lakeville Highway
Assessment District No. 15, City of Petaluma, Sonoma County,
California.
This Council has heard and considered all the evidence,
both oral and written, relative to the ,public convenience and
necessity of the construction of improvements, and finds that the
public convenience and necessity require the following
improvements proposed to be constructed in Lakeville Highway
Assessment District No. 15, City of Petaluma, Sonoma County,
California.
The construction of a sound wall, together with
appurtenant grading and drainage work, along the
northerly side of Lakeville Highway from Station A3
9+70.33, P.M. 3.5.2 to Station A3 61+51.61, P.M. 35.9,
also being. the section of highway beginning
approximately 500 feet easterly of Baywood Drive and
extending to Frates Road..
The City Council finds that the assessment proposed in
the Second~Amended Engineer's Report for this special assessment
proceeding is less than one-half of the true value of the property
assessed., as evidenced by the assessed. valuation of property
determined by the County Assessor of the County of Sonoma.
The City Council therefore determines that the Special
