RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE R-ESIGNATION,
OF COUNCILMAN MILTON A. GUSTAFSON..
INTRODUCED BY COUNCILMAN Hr ) / and

Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Petaluma on the 4 . day of
March , 1963,
WHEREAS, on Deeeniber i2B; 1954, Mt. Gustafson was appointed to
the City Council Of the.City Of Petaluma to fill the unexpired term of Leigh Shoemaker;
On June 14, 1955, Mr. Gustaf son was elected Couineiltrian for the term ending July 1,
1959, and was again re-elected fora full term on June :9, 1959.
WHEREAS, 'during his terms of office as Councilman tor thei City of
Petaluma, he has; served.as Council representative on the Recreation Commission
and Planning Commission and his',service on the Commissions and committees, too
numerous to mention, was marked:by his devotion to the problems of this City which
he solved resolutely and Sincerely, 'having in mind at all tines the best interest of
the people of the City.of Petaluma; I
WHEREAS, the success of the Recreatiomconamission and Planning.

Commission in its past works, and other) committees on which Councilman Gustafson
served was due in no small respect to hits devoted efforts. His reputation as 'a con-

WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes its severe loss to its member
ship and will :sorely this the; great ability th"at:he brought to this body; it is therefore
with great regret that the Council acts upon the resignation of Milton A;; Gustafson

NOW,, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the resignation of Milton
A. Gustafson,.,as a member of the City Council'and Vice-president of the City Council

fully accepted as of the 4th day of March,, 1963,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Council expresses the: appre-
elation of this entire City for the'faithful, untiring and unselfish service rendered
by this outstanding citizen for the past several,years,, and that as a tribute to this
service, it is hereby directed a suitable plaque be presented to Mr, Gustafson as
a token of appreciation for those services.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of
