WHEREAS, on .February 18, 1903,. petitions in the files of the City Clerk of the City of Petaluma;were presented to the City Council of the City of Petaluma requesting the Council to give its,consent to the commencement of annexatidn proceed- ings, in connection with that,certain inhabited territory therein referred to and generally described,, which is contiguous .toy the City of Petaluma; and WHEREAS, said petitions were referred to the Planning Comb ission ' of the City of Petaluma for investigation,! report, and recommendation, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission tendered its report and recom- mendation to the Council on the 1$h.day Of February, 1963, favoring the commence- inenrof annexation ptoceedirigs;, and . WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to igiv e its consent to the. commencement of such. ;annexation proceedings upon condition that theelector-s within said territory.be informedLat the time the petition for annexation is circulated that the question to be submitted to said electors shall:be whether the territory shall be annexed, and the property in the, territory subjected to taxation after annexation equally with the property within the City of Petaluma to pay the entire bonded indebted- 'less of the City of Petaluma.outstanding it authbrized:at the date of therfirsi publication of the notice;of election, for the ,acquisition, construction or completion.of municipal- tmprov.ement"s9 "NOW, THEREFORE, BE. IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA: 1.e That consent,. be„ and, the same ;i s, hereby granted for the commencement4f annexation proceedings in connection with said inhabited;terri- tort'in accordance with the Annexation Act of 1913, provided the petition for annexation contains a request that the question to be submitted to the electors residing in the territory° proposed to be annexed shall„be whether the territory shall be annexed, and the property in th; territory subjected to taxation after I annexation equally with.property{within the City of Petaluma to pay the bonded indebtedness of the City of Petaluma outstanding or authorized at the date of the first publication.;of the notice of election for the acquisition, construction or completion of municipal im royementso lI 2. That said unincorporated territory, be, and the same is, hereby designated as "Sunny Slope Annexation 1963” and is described as follows: Beginning at the southeast;corner of the "Hospital Annexation' as established by Ordinance No0 423 Na Ce:S., City of Petaluma; thence along the southeast°right°of=way line of "D" Street N 9° 30" 50" E 4660,08 feet to a point; thence leaving the southeast right-of-way line of "D" Street. and along the aforesaid existing City Limits line N 49° 50' I 28" E 46°.50 feet to an existing monument on the original City Limits line as established by Jo To Stratton, thence • along aforesaid line '5 89°135° 10" E 2499. 41 feet to a point on the east side of "I" Street, said point being the northwest corner of the Grant Avenue Annexation No 2_as established , by Ordinance No, 588 Ne Co Sa, City of Petaluma; thencealon said annexation line and the easterly right°of-way line of"I" Street S 15° 11° E1422. 17jfeet to a point, thence along said line S 24° 11' E 263078 feet to a point; thence along said li ne and ;crossing'Grant Avenue S 15° 21° E 588.02,feet to a point; thence leaving aforesaid annexation line and crossing•"I Street to a point on the westerly side, thereof, S 89° 56° W 62. 38 feet; thence along aforesaid side of "I"' Street S 15 '55i` E 476. 15 feet to a point; thence along said line and crossing Sunny Slope Road S 29° 15° E 1328. 17 feet.to a point, said point being the southeast corner of Smith's land as recorded in Book 458.
