BE IT RESOLVED:BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA:
I. That pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited

Territory Act of 1939, a petition signed by owners of not less than one-fourth of
the hereinafter described territory, by area and by assessed value as shown on the
last equalized assessment roll of the County of Sonoma, was filed with the Council
of the City of Petaluma on the 17th day o',f December, 1962, requesting annexation of
the hereinafter described territory, to said City.
2, That the territory which the petitioner requests be annexed to
the City of Petaluma and which said City and its Council propose to annex, ;is situate
in the County of Sonoma, State of California, hereby designated "Southeast1Annex°
ation Noe 3" and described as follows: '
All that certain land situated;in. the County of
Sonoma; State of 'California, and being more panic-
ularly described,as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of the inter-
section of McNear Avenue and Petaluma Boulevard South
said point being the north asterly corner of the "South-
east Annexation, 1954" as established by Ordinance No
323 N.CeSo, of the City of Petaluma; thence N 89° 42"
30" E along the southerly i right of way line of Petaluma
Boulevard South 613, 90 feet to a point; thence N 0° 17°
30" W across 'aforesaid Boulevard 120°.00' feet to the
southwesterly corner of the Shell Oil Company property
. as recorded in Book 521, Page 262 of Official Records;
thence along aforesaid Shell property N 0° 42° W 505o 5
feet to the south bank of Petaluma.River, thence in a
westerly direction along the south bank of Petaluma
River: -1682 feet more or less to its intersection with

the original east boundary.line ofthe City'of Petaluma; •
thence,S 0° 54° 427 E +along the original City boundary
line 37bo 45 feet more or less,to the southwest right of
way line of Petaluma:,Boulevard South; thence along
aforesaid right of way line S. 55° 03" ;06"• E 13, 46 feet to a
point; thence along a curve to the right; radius .m 10 feet,

of Mountain View Avenue;' thence S 51° 35° 40" E across

way line of Petaluma Boulevard South; thence along the I
northerly line of the aforesaid "Southeast Annexation"

3, That the County :Boundary Commission of Sonoma County,,
California, did in session duly assembled on. Tuesday,. March 5, 1963.. consider
the proposed annexation boundaries of said "Southeast. Annexation. No 3" as.
above described, and submitted to, said Commission by the proponents of said

4e That if said territory is annexed it shall become a part of the
schooLdistrict of the City of Petaluma,
5, That Monday, the 6th'day of. May; 1963, at the hour of 7:30
o'clock p. m., in the Council: Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Petaluma,
County of Sonoma. California, is'Ihereby'fixed as the time and place when and
where any person having any objections to the proposed'anhexati:on, may appear
before the Council.of the City of Petaluma and show cause why such uninhabited

7, In the event thli re is, upon the :land proposed to be annexed to
said City, a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased by a county
fire protection district, 'the 'City Clerk is directed to cause written notice of such
proposed annexation to be mailed; to the governing body of such district, such
notice to be sent not less than ten (10) days before. the first public hearing `pon.
such proposed annexation,
8, The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be given
to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in the manner required
by law,
