MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY :OF PETA-
LUMA, JUNE 11, 11963, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING! '

BE hT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY ;OF PETALUMA, AS FOLLOWS: .
Section i. Thar the regular municipal election in and lot the', City of
Petaluma shall be held Tuesday; '•June 11; 1963,, for the object and purpose of electing
the following public officers for ' ajd City of Pealuma as provided in its Charter, to
wit..
Three (3) Councilmen for 'the full term of four (4) years.
Two (2) Schoo 1 Directors as members;of the Board, of Educations,
Section. 2, ;Said regular- municipal election, hereby called shall be held

and conducted', and the votes thereat received and' canvassed and the returns thereof
made and the results thereof ascertained and determined as provided in this resolution..
Except as herein provided, said election;shall be held and conducted iii accordance with•
the Charter of the City of Petaluma and the general election .law's incorporated herein
and made .a part h ereof, The provisions of 'Division XI,.. Part 2, Chapter 2, of the;
Elections ,Code governing election in Fifih,and Sixth Class cities are hereby incorpo-
rated herein and.by reference made ra.part.hereof, except as herein otherwise provided,
Section 3e All persons qualified to vote at Municipal elections in said
City.of Petaluma -at, said regular municipal election ,shall he qualified :to" vote for all of
the candidates and all of the•officers hereinabove set fo rth, and also upon any measure
or measures which may� y be ,submitted at said regular municipal election, provided that
no person' shall be entitled to' vote for any candidate for The office of School Director

• who; is not also a qualified elector`of the Petalutna':Sehool 'Districts. Any qualified elector
of the Petaluma School Districts:who is not also a qualified elector in the .city of Petaluma
I shall be entitled to vote at 'Said regular election only for candidates for the office of School.
Director, and the City Clerk is', hereby authorized and directed to provide appropriate
ballots• containing the,names of the candidates for School Directors for use in territory
I outside the corporate limits of the City of Petaluma; but which has,been annexed to Peta-•
luma.School Districts for school' purposes only-, . and is within the territorial limits of the
Petaluma School Districts.
Section 4e The pofs- at the polling places, hereinafter designated 'shal=l
<-` be opened at 7:00 o"clock a, me (CDST) of said day of election and' shall be kept;'open
continuously thereafter until 7,°00;o'clock p. m, (CDST) of said day of election; when

Section, 11 , The City Clerk is hereby, directed to arrange :for the neces-
sary-voting booths,and see that they are properly erected in each of the polling places
• hereinbefore specified. Said CityCl'erk shall have the necessary ballots printed and
procure ballot boxes; stamps, ink pads, affidavits;of registration and index'thereto,
tally'lists, returns, envelopes and all other necessary supplies. and see that they are
properly distributed .to each voting booth prior to the opening of the polls on'the date of
'Said election, The compensation;of the election officers hereby appointed,, and each
thereof, for their respective ^services, and in full thereof:is hereby fixed as follows:
For Inspectors, the sum of $14, 00 each.

For Judges,and Clerks, the sum of $12,00 each.

Section 12. Th'e returns of said Consolidated Regular Municipal Election
shall,be made out and signed by the election officers and shall.be by them d(posited wi th,
the City Clerk together with the ballots cast at said election, .'and the Council shall meet.
at its usual meeting place and canvass the returns of election. on Monday, June 17, 1.963,

election are not in or said canvass :is not), for any reason completed on said date, the

for the purpose of completing said canvass and declaring the result of said election,
Section 13, This resolution, being la :resolution calling and providing for
an election, shall take effect niinediately upon its fi=nal passage and adoption,
