TO CITY OF PETALUMA OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY I
DESCRIBED HEREIN-AND DESIGNATED "NORTHEAST '

BE iT RESOLVED'BY THE COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF PETALUMA:
1, That pursuant to the provisions! of the Annexation of Uninhabited', -
Territory Act of. 1939, a petition signed by owners of not less than one-fourth of the

equalized described territory, b area and by assessed value as shown on
equalized assessment roll of the ;County ,of Sonoma, was filed with the Council of the

City of Petaluma on the 18th day of November, 1962, requesting annexation of the
hereinafter described territory to said City.
2, That the territory which the petitioner requests be annexed to

' the City of Petaluma and which said City and its Council propose to annex, is situate
• in the County of Sonoma, State of California; hereby designated "Northeast Petaluma
Annexation No, 2" and described as follows'. •
Beginning at the northwest corner of Crinell.a
Annexation No. 2 as established by Ordinance No, 600
N..C, S., City of Petaluma: thence along the existing City
Limits line S 350 30' W 770, 73 feet to a point; thence
along the City Limits line as established, by the tauter-
mute Annexation 1955, Ordinance No 427 N, C, S„ City
of Petaluma N. 54° ,30' W 101.,05 feet to a point; thence
along aforesaid line S 800 57' W 933, 39 feet to a point;
thence S 85° 21' W 322, 67 feet to a point; thence S 79°
15° W 16003 feet to a point; thence leaving aforesaid
existing City Limits line N 35° 30' E 1705, 13 feet to a
point on the northerly right-of- way line of Ely Road; �
thence ,along the northerly .right-of-wav ,line of Ely Road
N 54° ,30' W 1097032 feet to the northeasterly corner of
the intersection of Ely Road and East Washington Street;
thence N 26° 42' E 131053 feet to a point on the easterly
right-of-way line of East Washington Street; thence along
said easterly right-of-way line N 35°130' 1444, 08 feet to

a point: thence leaving aforesaid right-of°way line•.S 54° i30°
E. 2141 40 feet to a point;p said point being the easterly
boundary line of-Lot 243 as established by Rowe°'s Survey
of the'Petaluina R'anc:ho on file in Book 8 of Maps, Page 15,.
Sonoma County Records: thence along said easterly boundary,
line S 35° 30° W 1634. 08 feet to ,a point on the southerly
right-of-way line Of Ely Road said point=being the point of •
beginning.
Contains 1060392 acres more or less.

3, That the Count Boundary Commission of Sonoma Couiity;
California, did in session duly assembled on Tuesday, April 2, 1963, consider
the proposed annexation boundaries of said °'Northeast Petaluma Annexa'tiod No, '2
as above described, and submitted to said Commission:by the proponents of said
Anne xation,
4. That if said territory- is annexed it; shall become a part of the
school district of the City of`Petaluma.
5, That Monday, Ithe, 3rd day of June; 1963, at the hour of 7:I30
' o'clock p. m. , in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of Petaluma,
County of Sonoma; California, i.sHiereby'fixed as the time and place when and.
where any person having any objections to the proposed annexation, may appear
before the Council of the City of Petaluma and show cause why such uninhabited
territory should not be so annexed to they Ci ty of Petaluma. The protest must be
i:in writing, may be filed at any time before the hour .set for hearing objections to
' the proposed annexation, and shall] state the name Or names of the owner or owners
of property affected and the 'description and area of such property, in general teems,

and directed to cause a copy of this.-Resoutionto :bepublished at least twice, but

to annex the aforesaid territory, said publication to be completed at least twenty

7, In the; event;there is, upon the land proposed to be annexed to
said City; 'a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased by a county

fire protection district, th City Clerk
e. is directed to cause written notice of such
proposed annexation to be mailed!to the governing body of isuch district,: such
' notice to be sent not less than ten (10) days before the first public hearing upon
such proposed annexation,
8, The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to be given
to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto, in the manner required
by law,

1 hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was- duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of
