HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions 87-108 N.C.S. 04/20/1987~P ~ v ' ResOlutioi'1 I\10. s7-loa N C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A NEGATIVE DECLARATION PURSUANT TO CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT FOR A REVISION TO THE PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION MAP FOR 5YCAMORE HEIGHTS, AP NO. 48-141-46 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the issuance of a Negative Declaration pursuant to the California Envirionmental Quality Act (CEQA) for the following project: 1. Amend Planned Unit District Development Plan for the Sycamore Heights project, 8.17 acres, AP No. 48-141-46; and 2. Approval of a tentative subdivision map creating 45 parcels for single-family residences and public street for the Sycamore Heights project. WHEREAS, a negative declaration was issued by the City for a similar proposal on the same site in 198b; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the issuance of said Negative Declaration pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act is hereby approved, based on the following findings: Findings for Negative Declaration: 1. The project as conditionally approved does not have the potential to degrade the quality of the environment, substantially reduce the habitat of a fish or wildlife species, cause a fish or wildlife population to drop below self-sustaining levels, threaten to eliminate a plant or animal community, reduce the number or restrict the range of a rare or endangered plant or animal, or eliminate important examples of major periods of California history or pre-history. 1 ~z~5. Removal of significant vegetation shall only be done in conjunction with a systematic replanting as reviewed and approved by the Site Plan and Architectural Review Committee and Planning Director. 3. The project as conditionally approved does not have the potential to achieve short term to the disadvantages of long term environmental goals . 4. The project as conditionally approved does not have impacts which are individually limited, but cumulatively considerable. 5.
