RESOLUTION UPDATING SOUTH MCDOWELL BOULEVARD
UNDERGROUND DISTRICT TIME SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, a public hearing was duly noticed 1/21/86 in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall, Petaluma, California, to ascertain
whether the public necessity, health, safety or welfare require
the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead
structures and. the underground installation of wires and facilities
for supplying electric, communication or similar or associated
service in the district described below; and,
WHEREAS, such hearing has been duly and regularly held, and all
persons interested have been given an opportunity to be heard; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 86-207 N.C.S., the City Council estab-
lished the South McDowell Boulevard Underground District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that all poles, overhead wires and
associated overhead structures shall be removed and underground
installations made in said underground utility district within
the following times:
A. Underground installation by utility companies and property
owners and reconnections not later than 10/3/88.
B. Removal of poles, overhead wires and other associated over-
head structures not later than 12/31/89.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the utility companies shall also be
responsible for the conversion of overhead utility services up to
a maximum of one hundred (100) feet on private property with the
cost of such conversion to be paid entirely from the Underground
District No. 4, Rule 20A funds.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk, within ten (10) days
after the adoption of this resolution .shall mail a copy thereof and
a copy of Ordinance No. 893 N.C.S. to affected property owners as
such are shown on the last equalized roll and to the affected
utilities.
