APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH S&S TRUCKING
FOR THE HAULING AND BENEFICIAL REUSE OF CITY BIOSOLIDS
WHEREAS, on May 18, 2009, City Council approved the execution of an Agreement
with S&S Trucking for the Hauling and Beneficial Reuse of City Biosolids; and,
WHEREAS, the agreement with S&S Trucking commenced on June 11,2009; and,
WHEREAS, the organic loading to the treatment plant has increased resulting in a
proportional increase in biosolids production; and,
WHEREAS, the current contract amount is insufficient to pay for hauling services
through May 27, 2014;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Petaluma City Council hereby:
1. Increases the project budget by $288,000, which increases the total project budget
amount from $1,420,770 to $1,708,770.00.
2. Authorizes the City Manager to execute an amendment to the professional services
agreement with S&S Trucking in the amount of $288,000.00 for continued hauling
and beneficial reuse of the City's biosolids.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City
.REFERENCE: I hereby certify the foregoing Resolution was introduced and adopted by the Approved as to
Council of the City of Petaluma at a Regular meeting on the I6i' day of September,
2013, by the following vote:
