HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2013-134A N.C.S. 9/16/2013Resolution No. 2013-134A N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California APPROVING SELECTION OF BILL WOLPERT AS A NOMINEE TO THE REGIONAL CLIMATE PROTECTION AUTHORITY'S CLIMATE ACTION 2020 STAKEHOLDER ADVISORY GROUP WHEREAS, Climate Action 2020 is an effort led by the Sonoma County Regional Climate Protection Authority (RCPA) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Sonoma County communities, and was formed through legislation in 2009 to coordinate countywide climate protection efforts; and, WHEREAS, the RCPA is working with nine Sonoma County jurisdictions on the development of a comprehensive and detailed plan for each jurisdiction, known as Climate Action 2020; and, WHEREAS, the RCPA seeks to form a Stakeholder Advisory Group, torepresent a diversity of viewpoints and areas of technical expertise from each jurisdiction, to provide information and advice to the RCPA Board, staff and project consultants during the preparation of the Climate Action 2020 plan NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council has received and considered nominations to the Stakeholder Advisory Group and has selected Bill Wolpert to represent Petaluma.
