RESOLUTION •SUBMITTING TO THE ELECTORS. AT THE
REGULAR ELECTION• ON JUNE 13, 1961, A PROPOSED AMEND-
MENT TO ARTICLE IX OF THE CITY CHARTER BY ADDING
THERETO SECTION 63. 1

BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council submit to the electors of the City of Petaluma at
the regular election to be held in said city on June 13,. 1961, the following measure, to-wit:
MEASURE (E): :Subject to and contingent upon the passage of Measure (G)
authorized to be placed upon the-ballot'for the June 13, 1961 regular election by the City on
April 17, 1961, by the requisite number of votes; shall Article IX of the Charter be amended
by adding thereto Section. 63: 1 to read as follows:
Section. 63, 1: When, and in the event that bond monies are provided for
the acquisition of a municipal museum, the council may, notwithstanding the provisions
of Section 63.of this Charter, levy a special tax not to exceed three cents for each one
hundred dollars assessed valuation for the purposes of providing a fund for the repair,
maintenance, and operation of a municipal museum.
