C"G4itie.: ...8 'r� "y/ U At An djourned Meeting of the City Council of the City of Petaluma on the 30th day of Juhe 19 61 BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council hereby accepts-with extreme regret the resignation of Wilmer Johnson who has served this City in the Department of Public Works and the Police Department for a total time of twenty-four years, five and one-half months. The City of Petaluma is greatly indebted to Wilmer Johnson for the valuable and loyal service he has performed for this City for the past nearly twenty-five years. Wilmer Johnson first started to work for the City in July 1936 in the Department of Public Works and he remained in that department until September 1, 1943. He resumed. employment with the City in the Police Department on March 16, 1944 and served the police department as a patrolman until September 15, 1944, On September 16, 1944 he resumed employment with the Department of Public Works continuously for a period of sixteen years, nine and one-half months, to this date. The loyalty of Mr. Johnson is to be commended as well as'his efficient and untiring efforts throughout these periods on behalf of the City. This City expresses to him its sincere appreciation and gratitude for his excellent services and further expresses to him its best wishes on behalf of the City Council and the citizens of the City of Petaluma for a pleasurable retirement and future success in whatever endeavors he may take up in the .future.
