APB~ROVIN:G THE IS;S:UAN.CE 'OF A NEGATIUE DEGI;ARATIO,N PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRQNMENTAL QUALITY AGT ~FOR A. USE PERMIT ALLOWiNG AN EXPANSION AND RELATED ~SITE IMPROVEMENTS TO THE BOULEVARD BOWL, 1100 PETALU~MA BOULEVARD SOUTH WHEREAS, the Planriing Co.mmission h`as ~ recommended the issuance of a Negative Declaration pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for the following project: Use permit for AP No. 008-471-18 allowing a 21, 712 square foot addition and related site improvements to the Boulevard Bowl, 1100 Petaluma Boulevard . South, Petaluma, WHEREAS, an initial study ,has been prepared for the area and has been reviewed by the Commuriity ,,Development and Planning Department and the Planning Commission; and, WH'EREAS, the results of this study have determined that approval of this use permit as conditionally ,approved will not trigger any significant adverse environmental impacts,; and, WH'EREAS, staff and the Planning Commission have recommended that a negative declaration be issued on the above project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the issuance of said Negative D;ecl'aration pursuant to the 'California Environmental Quality Act is hereby approved, based upon the ~•following findings: 1. The. City Cquncil has considered ariy eomments received pertaining to issuance of said Negative Declaration, and finds the responses thereto to be aelequate. 2. No significant adverse impacts are associated with the use permit as conditionally approved-. Reso No 8`5--:1.0'8: N.C:S. 3. The project as conditiona~lly approved does .not have the potential to degrade the quality of the environment, substantially reduce the habitat of a fish or wildlife species-, caizse. a fish or wildlife population to drop below self sustaining levels, threaten to eliminate a plant or animal community, reduce the number or res:trict the range of a rare or endangered plant or animal or eliminate important examples of the major periods of California history or prehistory. 4. The project as coridi~tionally approved does iiot have the potential to achieve short-ter.m, to the disadvantage of lon-g-term, environmental goals . 5. The project a's conditiona.lly approved doe"s _ not have impacts which are individually limited, but cumulatively considerable,. 6.
