P E T E R S 0 N _ ~ RESOLUTION VACATING A STRIP OF LAND ON 6TH STREET AT "A" STRFET WHICH ~ IS EXCESS TO CITY'S NEEDS . ~ ~. o., . "i ~ ~o WHEREAS, there is a Portion of land excess to needs of the Gity of ~ Petaluma consisting of approximately 1,136 square feet adjacent to 6th Street which is not used for street purposes; anci, WHEREAS, said strip of land was created by the 1865 Stratton Map of Petaluma; and, V'dHEREAS, the constructed bth Street has left the 7.,136 square feet as the front yard of #2 - 6th Street, and said lanc.! is excess to the City needs for street purposes; and, WHEREAS, Streets and Highways Code Section 8334(a) authorizes the summarv vacation of such an excess right-of-way under such circumstances; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Petaluma City Council 1) It does hereby vacate the excess 1,136 square feet of land as described in Exhibit "A" , and as shown on Exhibit "B" , which exhibits are attached hereto and. incorporated herein by reference. 2) The vacation is subject to SPARC approval of the project's design providing that decision is not appealed to the City Council.
