Home My WebLink AboutResolution 2002-171 N.C.S. 10/21/2002Resolution No. 2002-171 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $150,000 OF PARK DEVELOPMENT FEES AND DIRECTING STAFF TO START THE DESIGN AND ENGINEERING OF THE GATTI PARK SITE, INCLUDING PUBLIC HEARINGS WHEREAS, the City Council and the Recreation, Music, and Parks Commission have long supported the effort to provide much needed playfields and parks; and, WHEREAS, the City of Petaluma has an agreement with Mardel LLC to participate in the construction of a baseball and softball field and overlapping soccer field; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has designated that the Gatti Park site would be the location for Mardel LLC to fulfill their obligation; and, WHEREAS, the Petaluma community needs additional parks to meet the community's needs in the Corona Ely area as designated in the General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council allocates $150,000 to start design of the Gatti Park site, and directs staff to start the planning and design process, including public hearings, in order to develop a park master plan for City Council approval. Construction of said park is to commence upon acceptance of the park master plan by the City Council. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
