HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 2002-167 N.C.S. 10/21/2002Resolution No. 2002-167 N.C.S. of the City of Petaluma, California RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF FY 2002-2003 SLESF IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $111,432 FOR EXPENDITURES RELATED TO THE CAD/RMS PROJECT WHEREAS, the State of California has extended legislation providing for Supplemental Law Enforcement Funds (SLESF) from the Citizens' Option for Public Safety (COPS) Program; and, WHEREAS, the funds are to be used to supplement front line municipal police services; and, WHEREAS, the Chief of Police is required to make a recommendation for the allocation of the funds; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is required to hold a public hearing on the use of the funds each year. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the allocation of FY 2002-2003 Supplemental Law Enforcement Service Funds, in the estimated amount of $111,432, per the Police Chief's recommendation, for expenditures related to the CAD/RMS project. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
