The salary ranges of the following cTassifications be
adjusted as follows:
Classifieation Current Range Proposed Range
Fire Marshal $2028-$2386 $2270-$2619
Chief Build~ing Inspector :20'28-.238G 2270- 2619
Assistant Planner 1507- 1832 1740- 2115
Recreation Program Coord. 1075- 1311 1194 1452
Background:
During the past"few years the ranges of the Fire Marshal
and the Chief Building Tnspector have gotten out of synch
in relationship to other positions in the organization and
have fallen furthe'r behind on the competitive_ market.
This adjustment brings the ranges f:or the positions
in line with the ranges for the Street Superintendent,
irlater Superintendent, Parks Superintendent`and Principal
P.lanner .
Currently, the classification.of Assistant Planner is
vacant. This classiiication, however,~more accurately
describes the work being performed by Mary Tupa who is
curreritly classified as a Planning'Technician.
The Planning Techn~ici:an,ran.ge presently is $1583-
$1923 per month~.
