THEE ISSUANCE OF A NEGATIVE' DECLARATION PURSUANT TO THE CALIFORNIA. ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACTS FOR IAKEVILLE BUSINESS° PARK WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended the issuance of a Negative Declaration pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for a: Tentative subdivision map to create 22 industrial lots; and, WHEREAS, the project is consistent with the General Plan and Environmental Design Plan.; and, WHEREAS, an initial, environmental study has been prepared for the area and which has been reviewed by the Community Development and Planning Department and the Planning Commission; and, WHEREAS, such mitigating measures have been. recommended by the. Planning Commission and.. staff where necessary to eliminate, or minimize any significant adverse environmental effects; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the issuance of said Negative Declaration pursuant to the California .Environmental Quality Act is hereby approved, based upon the following findings.: Reso. No. $4-214 N,.C.S. r - _ 1. The City Council has considered any comments and mitigating measures received pertaining to issuance of said Negative Declaration. 2. Mitigating measures -for potential future archaeological finds. and means for the preservation of the .on-site windmill are required as a condition of the Tentative Map. 3. No earthquake faults are believed to be active'' on the site. 4, Additional air pollution generated by the project is not expected to exceed permissable standards. 5. Proposed development is not expected to have a significant impact on the adjacent marsh wildlife habitat. The proposed row of evergreen trees which would separate the site from the marsh will provide a buffer. Design approval of the Adobe Creek improvements by the Fish and Game Department should insure proper consideration for the fish and wildlife. 6. Additional demand for public services will be compensated for by anticipated property tax revenues and required impact fees. 7. Projected traffic generation is not expected to impact neighboring streets beyond their planned capacity. 8. Future improvements in the flood plain will be required to conform with all- pertinent flood safety regulations. Under the power and authority conferred upon this'Council by the Charter of said City.
