the City Council of'the City of Petaluma on the--°---lst-°----...--':.dayof----------•••-°--``~y.....__.__.._.....•••_------.._...-•••--°----19.~~.
BEIT RESOLVED THAT it shall be'the policy of this City that the naming of
parks or other improvements shall be as follows:
1. Parks or other im~rovements shall not be named for individuals
except in those instances where an individual has donated land
or money for the purpose of a park development and a condition
of the;'donation of land o_r money is that.the parY, be naned after
a specific individual.
2. Within a park area and within a geographically defineable area such
as, a grove, a playing field, and the like, such an area may be
named after an individuaL.
3. The Mayor shall appoint a.Citizeris' Committee whose duby it shall
be to recommend to the City Co.uneil the naming of a park or other
public improvements and the naming of geographical areas mentioned
above.
4. Persons who have rendered to the City services for which they have
been appointed or employed to do, sh_all not be honored by naming
a park or public improvement a£ter fhem,
