Resolution No. 9978 N. C. S.
of the City of Petaluma, California
CREATING AND SETTING FORTH THE
DUTIES OF THE AIRPORT ADVISORY COMMITTEE
BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Petaluma does
hereby create an Airport .Advisory Committee consisting of (5) five members
appointed by the City Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said members of the Airport Advisory
Committee will serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and City Council and shall
not receive any remuneration for their services. Terms for said committee
will be for four years with initial terms ending for two designated appointees
on June 30, 1986 and for three designated appointees on June 30, 1988.
Meetings will be held monthly at a regular time and place.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council does declare that all
meetings of the Airport Advisory Gommittee shall be subject to the same
statutory constraints as those governing the meetings and deliberations of the
City Council.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the responsibilities of the Airport
Advisory Committee shall include, but are not limited to the following :
Advising the City Council and/or City Staff as to it's
recommendations relative to :
(a) Needed improvements to the Airport and methods of funding
same; -
(b) Airport operational rules and procedures or any amendment
thereto;
(c) Fees and charges or revisions thereto for the use .of` the
Airport suffieient to provide adequate income to offset
oper,ating costs and capital investments;
(d) Other policies and proced.ures necessary to properly operate
the Airport consistent with Federal or State law, sound
business practices, and the general public weTfare;
(e) Minimum requirements and standards for leases and contracts
including those for Fixed .Base Operator or Operators and
other Airport tenants.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that City Staff be directed to provide all
reasonable and possible support and assistance to the Committee and that a
representative thereof be in attendance and take minutes at all regular
meetings of the Committee, and that copies of such minutes be made available
regularly to the Council and such other interested persons who may request
same.
