"- of the City of Petaluma, California
RESOLUTION PROVIDING SUPPORT POLICIES FOR
BUSINESS AND INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the City promotes the development of new and well-planned
business and industrial parks as a matter of public policy and has planned
and encourages such sites and parks for a mixture of parcel sizes and
employers; and,
WHEREAS, jointly planned private CC&R's (Conditions, Covenants, and
Restrictions) work together with public zoning to promote an alternative
. well-landscaped and maintainecl environment particularly attractive to new
businesses looking for such locations in both the City's parks and in
individual locations; and,
WHEREAS, public financial assistance is available in the form of Economic
Development R.evenue Bonds for medium and larger commercial, industrial and
~ business facilities who wish to locate within the City to assist private
: enterprise with an alternative method of financing capital outlays. These
bonds are also available to promote the full and efficient utilization and
modernization of existing facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the City uses a one-.step eounter where Engineering,
Community Development and Planning., Pubiic Works, Building Inspection, and
Fire Department information, applications and questions can be asked for and
appropriate iriformation and application materials easily obtained;
- NOW, THEREF.ORE;, BE IT . RESOLVEp it- is the declared iritent-. of the
City of Petaluina to promote business, ~ commercial' and. industrial ~ development
for the public purpose of assuring or obtaining through:
a. the full and gainful employrnent of residents of the City;

b. the full and efficient utilization and modernization of existing
industrial, commercial and business facilities;
c. the development of new industrial, commercial and business
facilities;
d. the growth of the City's tax base through increased property
values and consumer purchasing;
e. the stability and diversification of the City's economy;
f. the lowering of the cost of City consumers of necessary goods and
services ;
g. the enhancement of the general economic prosperity, health, safety
and welfare of the residents of the City.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
