S. of the City of Petaluma, California REVIEWING ACTIONS AND, PROCEEDINGS IN MEET AND' CONFER SESSIONS WITH THE PETALUMA PEACE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION, UNDER THE MEYERS-MILIAS-BROWN ACT WHEREAS, the City through its authorized representatives has met and conferred. with the Petaluma Peace Officers' Association; and, WHEREAS, the City through its authorized representatives has re- ceived and responded to proposals made; and, WHEREAS, the said City representatives have made proposals and counter proposals; and,, WHEREAS, the City representatives have not been able to reach agree- ment with the Petaluma Peace Officers' Association regarding compensation and other terms and conditions of employment for the fiscal year 1983-84; anal , WHEREAS, the representatives of the City and the Petaluma Peace Officers' Association have reached impasse; and., WHEREAS, the City .Manager, pursuant to Section 28, City of Petaluma, City Charter, and as the City's Municipal Employees' Relations Officer (Resolution No. 5374 NCS) is required and empowered. to make a recommendation to the City Council on matters related to employees' compen- sation; and, WHEREAS, the City Manager does recommend that the City Council ratify the attached exhibit: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Council adopts the attached Exhibits #1 and #2. Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City. Salaries and the City's contributions for medical insurance premiums for employees in Unit 6 shall be as provided in Exh"ibit #1 and #2, attached hereto. Other terms and conditions for Unit 6,. set out in the Memorandum of Understanding approved :by the City Council on June 14, 1982, Resolution No. 9474,N.C.S. shall remain unchanged in fiscal year 1983-84.
