Z'he California-Nevac~a'River Foreeast Center of the National Weather Service, NOAA, undertakes this Memorandun of Understanding gursu3nt to its authority in U.S.C. q.313 and 7 U.S.C. ~450b in order to carry out its functions relating to flood warn- ,,,~ings . ~ ~. ~ ~ 2. Designate by unit(s), name(s) or title(s) who is to act for the Cooperat~r as the local flash flood representative of the tdational ~tieat`~er Service. b. Insure develoFment and operation of a fTood response plan. c. Provide, install and maintain the field and base station equipment, . compatible with the REC flood warning system. ~ d. Insure continuous operation of the system in ~rder to provi.de the ~~ . ~ necessary data base. . . e. rlonitor the system and, based on r:~~S guidance and local conditions, ~issue timel:y flood outlooks/alerts/warnings as ap~ropriate for use in the area covered by this agreenent. ~ ~ ~ f.
