No: 9 5'~~~ _TJC~~ . . _:v,.. r_~:'" ",;. , , AGREEMENT This agreement between the Petaluma Recreation Departrnent, hereafter known as City, and tlie Santa Rosa Officials Association, hereafter referred to as the Association, entered into this Agre'ement on - ~ , 19.82, for the purposes of conducting the 1982 Ba_s tball leagues. These services involve the complete operation of the season which is to begin the last week of September, 1982 and conclude at the .end of January, 1983. Speci.fiealTy, the following .is an outTine of the responsibilities of the City ,and the 'Assoc'iation. It is acknowledged that this is an independent ~contrac,tor relationship exempt from City personnel ruTes' per Petaluma Munici;pal, Code Section 3.04.030. The City will: A. Provide all game b:a11s and scor.e sheets.: B. Print and di's:tr-,ibute league operations, reg~ulations, schedules and house ru-les. C. Collect a'11~ fees and r-osters and distribute same on a basis to the Associat'ion. D. Assure availa'bility of gym space and scoreboard. E. Provide awards. The Association will: ~ . A. P-rovid.e and schedule two officials per game. B. Provide and sehedule scorekeepers who wi11 maintain accurate =~~ ' garne r-ecords, submit scores to the. Argus-Courier, maintain team standings and league rosters. C. Handle a1T protests and day=tq-day league' operations . ~ - D. Coordinate a rules clinic for a11 team managers . The City of Petaluma -on or about Oc:tober 1, 1982 w.ill submit to the " Association 9O o of the net leag,ue fees `based on the cost of officiating, .- - seorekeepers and clock persorinel, paid by the lea~g.ue fees. At the conclusion of the season, the City then will reimburse, to fhe Association tYie remaining 'l00 of the lea,gue fees. The term "net league fees" is defined as total fees ¢ollected less City operating cos,ts . All protes..t' fees, forfeit fees or unsportsmanship condue:t fees will be collected by the Association and will remain in the Association for league operatiqns. It is further stipulated that the Association will assign one and no more than two repre,sen~tatiyes that can be contacted by the teams and to answer an,y leag~ue operat~ion eoncerns . Also, the Association will meet onee a week with the R'ecreation Department to coordinate the activities of the season or as rieeded. This Agreement will be in effect from September l, 1982 to the end of the season in January, 19'83. b ~~~~~~~ ~
