RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT OF THE
SONOMA COUNTY WATER AGENCY
LOCAL SUPPLY, RECYCLED WATER, AND TIER 2
WATER CONSERVATION PROGRAM (L/R/T2)
AT A $20 MILLION LEVEL OF EXPENDITURES OVER A 10-YEAR PERIOD
WHEREAS the City Council discussed at their February 25 and March 18, 2002
meetings, the Resolution of Support of the Sonoma County Water Agency (SCWA) Local
Supply, Recycled Water, and Tier 2 Water Conservation Program (L/R/T2) at a $20 million level
of expenditures over a 10-year period; and,
WHEREAS the City Council would support the contractors agreeing mutually to have a
minimum of $13 million over the 10-year period spent on cost-effective water conservation
programs, with those funds to be collected and spent locally.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council recommends to the
SCWA that the L/R/T2 Program in the future be considered for a minimum of $13 million level
of expenditures over a 10-year period.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.
