An.ordinance of the City of Petaluma defining the
conditions under which the Northwestern Pacific Railroad
Company may build and operate a double track along Hopper
Street, in said. City of Petaluma.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Petaluma do
ordain as follows, to wit:
Section 1. Conformable to the provisions of ordinance
No. 32, of the City of Petaluma, passed on the 26th day of
September, A. D. 1870, by the Board. of Trustees of said City
granting to the San Francisco and North Pacific railroad
company certain rights of way through the City of Petaluma.
Permission is hereby given and granted unto the No thwestern
Pacific Railroad Company as the successor in interest of the
San Francisco and North Pacific 1=gilroad Company, to build,
operate, and maintain a double track for railroad purposes
along Hopper Street, in said City of Petaluma, the center
line of the two tracks constituting said double track shall
lie six and one half feet either side of and parallel to -the
center line of Hopper Street, excepting et the curves where
said double track enters and leaves said Hopper Street.
Section 2. The rails of said double track shall conform
to the grade of Hopper Street as said grade shall be offici-
ally established.
Section 3. The Northjrrestern Pacific Railroad Company or
its successors in interest shall improve the space between
lines drawn two feet outside of and parallel to outer rails
of said double track in a manner conforming to that which the
other portion of the roadway of said Hopper Street is or shall
be improved.
Section. 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its due passage and publication.
In the rooms of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Petaluma finally passed this 15th day of March, A. D. 1911,
by the follovring vote:
Ayes: Trustees Walsh, Vogensen and Keig.
Noes: None
Absent: Trustee Dinwiddie, resigned, and Trustee Woods.
Approved this 15th day of March, A. D. 1911.
