WHEREAS, the Board of Zoning Adjustments, =Sonoma County has issued a Use Permit to permit the operation of a livestock, sales auction yard on the Lakeville Highway, and WHEREAS, this Council finds: 1 . This City was not sufficiently informed that an application for a livestock sales auction yard had been made to the county. 2. This City is attempting to generally improve the area in question and to encourage the development of the area to conform with the general plan. 3, This City has caused the preparation of a proposed master plan of the Petaluma area covering the area in question and the said master plan does not contemplate or provide for the area to be used for livestock sales auction yard. 4. The County and the City of Petaluma have co-operated in the aforesaid proposed master plan Which is now before the Board of Supervisors for formal approval and this co-operation, in the preparation of a.master plan for the orderly growth of the area, contemplates the up-grading of the area in and about the City of Petaluma. 5. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this City expresses, for reasons as hereinbefore stated, its objections to the action of the Board of Zoning Adjustments, Sonoma County, and directs the City Manager and City Attorney to appear before the Board of Supervisors to express'this. Council's feelings and to protest the granting of the Use Permit. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Council expresses its objection to the procedure in granting this particular Use Permit and requests the Board of"Supervisors to take such action as necessary to rescind the Use Permit and to deny the area for use as a livestock sales auction yard. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Petaluma, on the 14th day of August 1961, by the.follbwing vote., AYES: Councilmen Colin, Crinella, Ellis, Gustafson, King, Van Bebber & Mayor Matzen-. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this City expresses, for reasons as hereinbefore stated, its objections to the action of the Board of Zoning Adjustments, Sonoma County, and directs the City Manager and City Attorney to appear before the Board of Supervisors to express this. Council's feelings and to protest the granting of the Use Permit.
