RESOLUTION`PETITIONING THE BOARD. OF SUPERVISORS
OF THE COUNTY OF SONOMA TO ANNEX TO THE CITY
OF PETALUMA CONTIGUOUS PROPERTY OWNED BY THE
PETALUMA CITY HIG ' SCHOOL ISTRICT.

Meeting of the City Council of the City of Petaluma on the 6th day of
November , 1961.
WHEREAS, the Board of Education has filed with this City a verified
petition requesting the annexation of certain contiguous uninhabited territory owned
by the Petaluma City High School District, and
WHEREAS, this City desires that the same be annexed in accordance
with the provisions of Article 3; Title 4, Part 2, Chapter 1.of the Government Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this.City hereby petitions
the Board of Supervisors to cause the annexation of the contiguous uninhabited ter-
ritory owned'by the.Petaluma City High School District described as.follows:
Lying in Petaluma Rancho T 5 N R 7 W M.D.B. & M. and
being a portion of Lots. 5 and 6 as shown on Map entitled "Suburban
Homes" recorded in Boole 32 of Maps..at Page 18, Sonoma County
Records, and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point marked by an iron pipe set,on the south-
westerly line of the State Freeway at its intersection with the
easterly line of the City of Petaluma, said point being opposite and
right angles to Eng. Sta. 807+93. 55 "F" line of said State Freeway
center line survey; thence from said point Of beginning and along
said easterly line of the?City of Petaluma,N 35°`54' 33" E 210. 89
feet to its intersection with the northeasterly line of said State
Freeway; thence along said northeasterly line of the State Freeway
and the City of Petaluma on a curve to the ?right with a radius of
3090; 0 feet from a tangent which bears. .S 23° 43' 14" E for a
distance of 110. 16 feet to a point marked by a C.H.C. concrete
monument; thence S 20° 18' 35" E 209. 42 feet to a pointmarked
by a C,H.C. concrete:Monument; thence S 21° 40' 40" E 579.02
feet to a,point marked by a C.H.C. concrete monument; thence
S 34° 48' W 251. 90 feet to a point marked by an iron pipe; thence
N 21° 40' 40" W 26.76 feet to a point marked by an iron.pipe;
thence N 53° 57' 17" W 739. 20 feet to a point marked by an iron
pipe; thence N 350" 54t 33" E 509.04 feet to the point of beginning
and containing 8. 32 acres.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of thrsResoluton
be forwarded to'the Board of 'Supervisors and that the same be considered as, the
written petition required under the provisions of Government Code, Section 35203.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of
the City of Petaluma, on the 6th day of November ,
1961, by the following vote.
