RESOLUTION APPROVING COSTS INCURRED IN THE
DEMOLITLON OF THE PROPERTY GENERALLY KNOWN
AS THE AMERICAN HOTEL, AND DECLARING THE
COSTS INCURRED IN DEMOLISHING THE HOTEL TO
BE A LIEN AGAINST THE REAL PROPERTY AND A
SPECIAL ASSESSMENT TO BE COLLECTED AS A •
SPECIAL ASSESSMENT IF NOT PAID WITHIN TEN
(10) DAYS FROM THE DATE OF :THIS RESOLUTION.:

the City Council of the City of Petaluma on the - day of- -- -- 19'
WHEREAS„ the City of Petaluma, :pursuant to the authority
of .Section 203 of the. Uniform Building Code of 19:64 ,. ,did declare the Amer-
, ican Hotel , whose address is 133 Petaluma Blvd':. 'North, Petaluma , California,
a. nuisance and did demolish the same in accordance with the provisions of
Section 203 ; and
WHEREAS,,. K. T. K. Wrecking Company did receive an award
to demolish the above mentioned building and did .present a bill in the
amount of $6 , 036 . 42 which this Council finds to be fair and reasonable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Petaluma, that the costs incurred in the' demolishing of the Amer-
' ican Hotel building amounted to $6 , 036 . 42, and that the said costs are fair
and reasonable and shoula. be paid by this City as provided in the Uniform
Building Code of 1964 .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the costs incurred for demo-'
l_ition. and paid by this 'City are declared to -le a Ilea against the real
property upon which the American Hotel existed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that- the expense of abating the
nuisance , if not paid within ten (10) days from the date of this `Resolution-;
shall donsti tute a lien on the real property:,, and a statement of'. 'this cpst
Shall be submitted to the owners Of the said real property". The 'lien, om
-the ^Property shall Continue ,until the :statement rendered to the owners shall
be raid or shall be discharged of record. In the event of nonpayment, the
Ditector of Planning shall at any time within sixty. (60) .days after the deci-

NOTICE OF LIEN
Pursuant to the authority vested in the undersigned by Section 203 of the
Uniform Building Code of 19,64 , the undersigned did on the day of
