SUBJECT: Resolution Appointing Youth Members to the Youth Commission
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council adopt the attached Resolution Appointing Youth
Members to the Youth Commission to serve two-year terms expiring June 30, 2016.
BACKGROUND
The Petaluma Youth Commission consists of up to eight adults (ages 21 or older) and fourteen
youth (eighth grade through age 20). Youth applications are reviewed by the Youth Commission.

submitted to the City Council for consideration of appointment. Youth member terms are for two
years.
DISCUSSION
The Youth Commission has nominated 7 individuals for appointment as youth members of the
Youth Commission.
FINANCIAL IMPACTS
Costs are limited to staff time to prepare agenda and staff report materials, and are contained
within the operating budget.
