SUBJECT: Resolutions denying requested General Plan Amendments and denying
appeals submitted by Brownian Development and upholding the Planning
Commission's denial of a Zoning Map Amendment and a Zoning Test
Amendment associated with the Lynch Creek Plaza Project located at the
corner of Lynch Creek Way and North McDowell Boulevard

This item has been moved to the February 3`d City council agenda based on the attached request
from the applicant. Prior to the requested continuance, public notice of the December I" hearing
was submitted to the Argus Courier for publication in compliance with public noticing
requirements. The item was not able to be pulled from publication. However, mailed public
notices were not sent out to surrounding property owners. The project will be re -noticed,
including publication in the Argus -Courier and mailed to property owners within the 500 foot
radius, for consideration at the February 3`d City Council meeting.

Request for Continuance of City Council Hearing
Dear Alicia,
This letter shall serve as our request for a continuance of the upcoming City Council hearing on
December 1, 2014. Unfortunately a Walgreens representative is unable to attend the hearing on that
date and during the critical holiday sales season and we believe it is imperative for Walgreens to be
represented at the hearing.
The soonest hearing we could attend is on February 2, 2015. Thank you for your understanding and
assistance in accommodating this request. We look forward to our opportunity to present to the
Council.
