WHEREAS, the St. Vincent de Paul Church is requesting permission to engage in a
procession from Wickersham Park to the St. Vincent de Paul Church on Sunday, August 15,
2010 from 10;30 AM until noon for a procession sponsored by the St. Vincent de Paul Church;
and,
WHEREAS, the St. Vincent de Paul Church intends to move this procession along city
streets as described herein; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Vincent de Paul Church has demonstrated success in managing this
event last year.
NOW, T~IEREFORE, BE I'I' I2~SOI.VEI) that the Petaluma City Council hereby
authorizes the Petaluma Police Department to close St" Street between H Street and B Street; B
Street between St" Street and 6th Street; and 6`" Street between B Street and A Street on Sunday,
August 1 S, 2010 from 10:30 AM until noon for a procession sponsored by St. Vincent de Paul
Church subject to all conditions of the City Park Permit and Special Events Permit issued by the
Petaluma Police Department relating to said use.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City
REFERENCE: I hereby certify the foregoing Resolution was introduced and adopted by the Approved as to
Council of the City of Netaluma at a Regular meeting on the 12`h day of July, 2010, £o
